Description

Detective Comics #37 (DC, 1940) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white pages. With only 60 Universal label copies currently on the CGC census, this early issue of Detective Comics has become increasingly more difficult to find unrestored -- especially in a grade higher than a VG. This issue marks the last solo Batman story in Detective prior to Robin's debut in the following issue. Featuring a striking, action-packed cover by Bob Kane and interior art by Kane, Fred Guardineer, and Joe Shuster, this issue is currently #43 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $16,800. CGC census 4/25: 3 in 5.5, 12 higher.

CGC Grader Notes:
