Less than 20 copies have been certified with a Universal grade by CGC to date, making this affordable copy very appealing indeed. The classic Batman hypodermic needle cover by Bob Kane kicked off a string of consecutive Batman covers. The book also contains a classic Batman splash page. Kane and Fred Guardineer art. Bill Finger and Jerry Siegel stories. CGC notes, "Spine of cover completely split & reattached with tape on interior cover. Cover detached. Tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2012 GD 2.0 value = $3,267. CGC census 5/13: 2 in 1.5, 18 higher.
