Currently ranked #16 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics, this essential book features the origin of Batman, alias millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne. Bob Kane's cover for this issue was just the fourth to feature the Dark Knight, and a rare one in that it depicts him wearing a gun holster. First appearances in the issue include Thomas Wayne, Martha Wayne, and Joe Chill. Kane, Sheldon Moldoff, and Fred Guardineer contributed to the story art. Overstreet 2023 VG 4.0 value = $34,400.
