    Description

Detective Comics #30 (DC, 1939) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. The fourth appearance of Batman is in this issue, which doesn't show up as often as one would think. That makes this tight FN/VF copy worthy of note! The Dark Knight's battle with Doctor Death (his first recurring baddie) concludes in this issue. Overstreet lists Bob Kane's Batman splash panel as a "classic". The non-Batman cover is by Fred Guardineer. Sheldon Moldoff and Joe Shuster art. Overstreet 2015 FN 6.0 value = $4,500; VF 8.0 value = $11,250. CGC census 3/16: 2 in 7.0, 6 higher.
