Detective Comics #29 (DC, 1939) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages. The second ever Batman cover is rarely seen in such high grade! It's easily the finest copy we've ever offered, and in the unlikely event you did find a nicer one, it's doubtful these colors could be surpassed. This copy's simply a beauty! The first appearance of Dr. Death is a highlight, in the first of a two-part story. The book's currently ranked #14 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics, with only some heavyweight issues ahead of it. By the way, if you are incredulous that Batman's second cover didn't come until his third issue; he actually skipped a few, not appearing on the fronts of #28, 30, 32, nd 34 before beginning a seven-decade run as the exclusive cover hero.
