Description
Detective Comics #28 Billy Wright pedigree (DC, 1939) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. The second appearance of Batman is tough to find in unrestored condition! While Batman obviously didn't make the cover except for a blurb, he was the lead feature in the book, indicating that DC knew they had a winner on their hands. The story of the "Bat-Man" (written thus inside if not on the cover) was the second and last to be signed "Rob't Kane." Fred Guardineer is the cover artist of this early issue, which Overstreet lists among the Top 50 Golden Age Books. Overstreet 2011 VF 8.0 value = $22,500; VF/NM 9.0 value = $39,250. CGC census 4/12: 1 in 8.5, 2 higher.View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1095526009, including grader's notes if available and a link to the latest full census report for the issue.*
