Detective Comics #20 (DC, 1938) CGC VG- 3.5 Cream to off-white pages. The first Detective Comics superhero debuted in this issue! No, it's not Batman, it's the Crimson Avenger. This costumed crusader, somewhat similar to the Green Hornet, was a regular in this title through issue #89. The rest of the issue features the usual lineup of P.I.s and cops, and boasts a (literally) striking cover by Leo O'Mealia. CGC notes, "One-inch tear on 1st 3 pages."
