Detective Comics #153 (DC, 1949) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. Only one other copy outgrades this one on CGC's census for the issue. Not only is it the nicest copy we've ever seen, it's the first we've encountered with a grade above VF 8.0. Roy Raymond, TV Detective began his long-running series of backup adventures in this issue, which also features the origin of the Human Fly. The Batman and Robin cover and story art are by Dick Sprang. Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $1,650. CGC census 11/20: 1 in 9.2, 1 higher. From the Alfred Pennyworth Collection.
