Daring Mystery Comics #3 (Timely, 1940) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. A fantastic copy of a book that is exceptionally rare in mid- to high-grade condition. Bondage cover by Alex Schomburg and story art by Joe Simon. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates this issue a "7" ("scarce") on its Scarcity Index. We've encountered only three copies with higher grades than this, and none in this grade or better since 2007. By the way our cover hero is the Purple Mask, making his only cover appearance ever. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $6,315. CGC census 1/25: 1 in 7.5, 4 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
