Daredevil Comics #1 (Lev Gleason, 1941) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. One of the most iconic covers from the Golden Age of Comics was a Bob Wood and Charles Biro collaboration showing Daredevil and the Silver Streak battling an oversized Hitler (from a photo image, no less), with the Claw lurking nearby. Classic! The first issue was titled Daredevil Battles Hitler, becoming simply Daredevil Comics with the next issue. Surprisingly, this stunning copy isn't from one of the renowned pedigree collections, but it's currently unsurpassed in grade among CGC's listings. Overstreet 2008 NM- 9.2 value = $22,500. CGC census 7/08: 3 in 9.4, none higher.
