    Description

Daredevil Comics #1 Daredevil Battles Hitler - Vancouver pedigree (Lev Gleason, 1941) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This newly certified copy becomes the first, and so far only, 9.6 copy of the issue, topping even the 9.4 Mile High.
We would understand if you're not familiar with the Vancouver books, as it was a small collection, with many books from less collectible series. The copy at hand is a different story: as a top-100 issue in Overstreet's ranking, it's the most significant Vancouver comic we've offered to date.
Bob Wood and Charles Biro retouched Hitler's face into a silly expression, making for a memorable cover indeed. While not the first Hitler cover, it's one of the earliest, and we believe this is the only comic ever to include Hitler's name in the title. Daredevil from Silver Streak Comics got his own book here, launching a series that ran for 15 years. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $23,500. CGC census 5/14: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
