Description
Captain Marvel Thrill Book #1 Rockford Pedigree (Fawcett Publications, 1941) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages. This is probably the nicest copy of this exceptionally rare comic that you're likely to get your hands on! Overstreet notes, "Rarely found in Fine or Mint condition" and lists no values above VF. It is listed as rare "rare" by both Overstreet and The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books; we've seen a modest number of copies over the past two decades, none of which have earned a higher grade than this. This is the only pedigreed copy, and it is tied with one other for the top spot on the CGC census, where the majority have grades of VG- 3.5 or lower. The comic contains stories originally printed in Whiz Comics #8 and 10 and Special Edition #1, in a large (8.75" x 11.5") format, printed in black and white, with a color cover. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $1,440. CGC census 11/25: 2 in 5.5, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
