Captain Marvel Adventures #nn (#1) Verified Signatures: Jack Kirby, C. C. Beck, and Joe Simon - Trimmed (Fawcett Publications, 1941) CBCS Apparent GD/VG 3.0 (Extensive Amateur) Off-white to white pages. The Big Red Cheese (Captain Marvel) bursts onto the scene in the first issue of his self-titled series, in an incredible copy signed by three of the greatest Golden Age creators! C. C. Beck provided the cover featuring his signature creation, with Jack Kirby and Dick Briefer providing art throughout. Dr. Sivana makes an early appearance alongside the first appearance and "death" of the vampiric villain Bram Thiria. Joe Simon and Manly Wade Wellman supplied stories for this issue, currently #33 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CBCS notes, "Verified Signatures: Jack Kirby, C. C.
