Captain America Comics #8 (Timely, 1941) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. This impressive copy outscores even The Promise Collection copy on CGC's census. So far, CGC has certified a mere three with higher grades. We've encountered only one of those, an NM- 9.2, way back in 2003, and we've seen only one other VF+ 8.5 in the last 10 years! The torture cover is by Jack Kirby and Al Avison. Kirby co-wrote the Captain America story and crafted its artwork with Joe Simon. Stan Lee and Otto Binder also contributed stories, and Avison and Charles Nicholas supplied additional artwork. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $8,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $14,500. CGC census 1/26: 1 in 8.5, 3 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
