Captain America Comics #3 (Timely, 1941) CGC NM- 9.2 Cream to off-white pages. Just a few months ago, we sold the Billy Wright Collection copy of this issue for over $50,000, and our current offering matches that one in grade. Most of the early issues of the title have covers that could be considered "classic", but this Red Skull/ bondage masterpiece by Alex Schomburg gets the official designation from both Overstreet and CGC. Simon & Kirby and Max Raboy contributed interior art, and the irrepressible Stan Lee contributed his first work for Timely/Atlas/Marvel with a text story. Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $33,000. CGC census 2/13: 3 in 9.2, 1 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
