Captain America Comics #3 (Timely, 1941) CGC Conserved VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. Stan Lee's first writing credit (and his first work for Timely) is a feature of this early Cap issue, and it has a classic Red Skull / bondage cover by Alex Schomburg to boot! Inside, it includes a Captain America story scripted and illustrated by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, plus three additional tales with Kirby's art and inks by Bernie Krigstein and Reed Crandall. A backup story rounds out the issue, drawn by Mac Raboy. The issue is currently the #45 book on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Conservation includes: staples reinforced, cover cleaned." Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $3,700; VG 4.0 value = $7,400.
