Description

Captain America Comics #29 (Timely, 1943) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. This Alex Schomburg cover not only offers all-out action, it's one of the few Golden Age covers we've seen to depict that "other" red, white, and blue flag, namely the tricolore of France! Luckily, Cap and Bucky rescue some Free French (again!) just in time. In addition to Cap's adventures, there's a Human Torch 7-pager here and Hitler stops in for an appearance. Syd Shores, Vince Alascia, and Harry Sahle art. Overstreet 2012 FN 6.0 value = $1,080; VF 8.0 value = $2,520. CGC census 5/13: 1 in 6.5, 10 higher. From the Tom Haas Collection.
