Captain America Comics #28 (Timely, 1943) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages. Cover artist supreme Alex Schomburg does it again with this wild Nazi torture chamber scene -- how did Bucky manage to survive as long as he did? A Human Torch story rounds out the issue. For a mid-grade copy, this one displays very nicely, although we can't help but wonder about that "50" written in grease pencil in the corner... looks like someone lucked out at the yard sale! Overstreet 2010 FN 6.0 value = $813; VF 8.0 value = $1,694. CGC census 1/11: 2 in 6.5, 6 higher. From the Jack and Julie Juka Collection.
