Captain America Comics #2 (Timely, 1941) CGC Apparent NM- 9.2 Slight (P) Cream to off-white pages. The issue's been steadily climbing on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Books list, currently ranking a heartbeat behind the likes of Action Comics #13, Superman #2, and Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #1. The Hitler cover by Joe Simon rates a "classic" designation by Overstreet and CGC, and the interior features the art of Simon & Kirby, Al Avison, Al Gabrielle, and Reed Crandall. Our offering has been wonderfully restored to a grade that's very rarely been achieved in restored copies, and the restoration here is "Slight"! CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover, spine split sealed to cover, cover cleaned." Overstreet 2012 GD 2.0 value = $1,950; VG 4.0 value = $3,900; FN 6.0 value = $5,850; VF 8.0 value = $14,235; VF/NM 9.0 value = $28,118; NM- 9.2 value = $42,000.
