Captain America Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC Apparent VG/FN 5.0 Extensive (P) Off-white to white pages. One of the most famous comic covers of all time, combined with the origin and first appearance of Captain America, make this issue the #8 book on Overstreet's ranking of the Top 100 Golden Age Comics (and behind only Marvel Comics #1 in the Timely department). There's no villain quite as evil as Adolf Hitler, of course, but the Red Skull, who also debuts here, runs a real close second! And don't forget Cap's loyal sidekick, Bucky Barnes, who also appears inside, no doubt, in trouble. The creative geniuses Joe Simon and Jack Kirby drew the origin story, while the cover is a solo effort by Kirby.
