Description

Blonde Phantom #21 (Timely, 1949) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white pages. Early Golden Age artist Charles Nicholas does a rare cover for Timely, and also works on the interior along with Al Gabriele, Harry Sahle, and Al Bellman. This copy displays nicer than its grade might suggest, with bright colors against a clean background. Some wear around the edges preclude a higher CGC grade. Still, only two other copies have earned higher grades to date, the best at VF 8.0. Overstreet 2005 FN 6.0 value = $231. CGC census 7/05: 2 in 6.0, 2 higher.
