Big All-American Comic Book #1 (DC, 1944) Condition: GD+. Even at 250% of the usual comic book price, this was quite a buy, with appearances by every significant character from All-American Comics (which was essentially a sister company to DC). There are stories with everyone from Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Hawkman (this has Joe Kubert's first work on Hawkman, by the way) to Little Boy Blue and Sheldon Mayer's Scribbly. The issue is on Overstreet's list of the 100 most valuable Golden Age comics. This copy's cover has taken a few licks, and one corner's hanging on by a thread, but the interior page quality is a nice off-white. Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value = $927.From the John McLaughlin Collection.
