Batman #9 (DC, 1942) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. Jack Burnley's cover is one of the best-known of all Batman covers. Inside the issue, the Joker busts out of jail and wastes no time cooking up a money-laundering scheme which only the Dynamic Duo can (try to) foil. This issue also has the very first Batman Christmas story. The interior artists include Jerry Robinson and George Roussos. Overstreet 2004 VG 4.0 value = $682; FN 6.0 value = $1,023. CGC census 12/04: 1 in 5.0, 20 higher. From the Northern Lights Collection.
