Batman #9 (DC, 1942) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. We have never even come close to offering a copy this nice before, in fact, the nicest we've ever had was an 8.5 copy with cream to off-white pages, and that was way back in 2005. The Dynamic Duo are quite literally in the spotlight on Jack Burnley's classic cover for this issue. The book includes the first Batman Christmas story and a story featuring that Clown Prince of Crime -- The Joker. George Roussos and Jerry Robinson join Batman creator Bob Kane in providing the interior art. Don't hold your breath waiting for a nicer copy to come along -- odds are it won't! Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $7,500. CGC census 5/13: 2 in 9.4, none higher.
