Batman #61 (DC, 1950) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages. A deep red cover and pristine white pages make it highly desirable, as does its status as the highest-graded CGC copy. The Penguin makes one of his many Golden Age appearances inside, and the origin of the Batplane II is told. The cover is by Win Mortimer, and the story art is by Bob Kane and Dick Sprang. Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $2,600. CGC census 11/20: 1 in 9.2, none higher. From the Alfred Pennyworth Collection.
