Description

Batman #50 (DC, 1948) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. An almost perfect copy of the comic. Two-Face returned in this issue, sort of -- Harvey Dent's butler decides to commit crimes disguised as Two-Face, unbeknownst to his boss who had been cured of his evilness prior to this. Of note is that this issue is the first time that the character was called Harvey Dent, he had been Harvey Kent in all previous stories. Was this a clerical error, or was it an effort to make Clark Kent the only person with that last name in Gotham City (or in DC comics)? The issue's cover, which can be so easily smudged (not so in this case), and interior art are by Bob Kane and his collaborators Lew Schwartz and Charles Paris. Tied for CGC's highest grade for the issue. Overstreet 2022 NM- 9.2 value = $5,000. CGC census 6/23: 3 in 9.6, none higher.

CGC Grader Notes:
