    Description

Batman #5 (DC, 1941) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. The Batmobile made its first appearance in this very issue, but the joy was fleeting as the Joker also showed up. The first appearance of Linda Page is here too. Note the absence of any bat emblem on Batman's chest, on this Bob Kane cover. The interior art is by Kane and Jerry Robinson. A sharp-looking, tight copy. Overstreet 2013 VF/NM 9.0 value = $8,718; NM- 9.2 value = $12,500. CGC census 7/13: 3 in 9.0, 5 higher.
