Batman #3 (DC, 1940) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages. The issue is notable for its classic cover art (usually credited to Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson), as well as for having the first time Catwoman appeared in costume -- which makes this the first appearance of a costumed villainess in all of comics! Many a black-covered comic book has been marred by chips, creases, and other flaws, but that is not the case here. Only one other copy has been certified with a higher grade by CGC to date, and it's been almost three years since we've had a chance to offer a copy in comparable quality. Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $21,000. CGC census 5/13: 1 in 9.2, 1 higher.
