Description

Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC PR 0.5 Brittle pages. Featuring the first appearances of the Joker and the Cat (aka Catwoman). Hugo Strange appearance. Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson classic cover and art. Bill Finger story. Currently tied for #4 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. There is tape on the cover, with residue and discoloration. Very Brittle. As you can see from the image, flecks are actively coming off inside the CGC holder. A reasonable expectation would be that more flecking will ensue by the time this copy arrives with the winning bidder. Overstreet 2022 GD 2.0 value = $67,000. CGC census 8/22: 22 in 0.5, 113 higher.
