Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC Apparent VF 8.0 Slight (P) Off-white to white pages. After lurking in the pages of Detective Comics for three years, Batman and Robin finally swing into their own title with this key issue. The origin of Batman is reprinted from Detective #33, with Bob Kane's splash page art from Detective #34. It also has the first appearance of the Joker and the Cat (Catwoman). This comic also has the first Batman and Robin pin-up on the back cover, as well as a text piece and photo of Bob Kane inside. This copy has received only slight professional restoration, and it's beautiful appearance is sure to quicken the pulse of Bat-fans everywhere. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: spine split sealed, cover cleaned and pressed, reinforced."
