Description

Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC Apparent FN- 5.5 Extensive (P) Off-white pages. The first appearance of two of the all-time great comic villains, the Joker and Catwoman. Overstreet ranks this book #6 on his "top Golden Age" list, and many are of the opinion that it should nudge All-American #16 aside for top-five honors. Restored copies of Action #1 and Detective #27 have become much more expensive lately, so now might be the time to secure copies of the other major keys before they follow suit. The famous cover is by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced." Overstreet 2011 GD 2.0 value = $14,000; VG 4.0 value = $28,000; FN 6.0 value = $42,000.
