    Description

    The Darknight's Debut!

Batman #1 (DC, 1940). A rough but complete copy of this seminal key; the Caped Crusaders swing into action for their very first issue, which features the first appearance of The Joker and The Cat (later Catwoman), as well as the origin of Batman reprinted from Detective Comics. CGC notes 2 pieces off the first 2 pages, which affects art, but not story. Also tape on interior spine and pages (spine appears to be completely split and taped). CGC GD- 1.8 Cream to off-white pages. Overstreet 2001 GD 2.0 value: $6,067.
