Description
Amazing-Man Comics #5 (#1) (Centaur, 1939) CGC VG- 3.5 Off-white to white pages. The first issue of the title, this book has the origin and first appearance of Aman, aka the Amazing-Man, as well as the Iron Skull, Miniature Man, and the Cat-Man. Bill Everett did the memorable cover and art. Carl Burgos, Tarpe Mills, and Paul Gustavson also collaborated on the book. Overstreet notes the issue as "rare," and Gerber also gives it a scarcity rating of 8 or "rare." CGC notes, "2 pieces of tape on spine of cover & 2 on interior cover." Overstreet 2013 VG 4.0 value = $3,334. CGC census 5/14: 3 in 3.5, 4 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
