All Winners Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. It's no wonder this issue is listed among Overstreet's 40 most valuable Golden Age books, as it's got everything the Timely fan could ask for. The Human Torch, Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, Black Marvel, and the Angel are all on hand here. And while those heroes star in separate features, a text story by youngster Stan Lee has the first appearance of the All-Winners Squad, who wouldn't make a panel appearance until #19! The lineup of artists is impressive too: Simon and Kirby, Carl Burgos, and Bill Everett all contributed interior art, and Alex Schomburg is credited with the cover. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $6,000; VF 8.0 value = $15,000. CGC census 12/06: 3 in 7.0, 9 higher.
