Description

All Star Comics #8 (DC, 1942) CGC VG 4.0 Slightly brittle pages. It's the first appearance and origin of Wonder Woman! And Wonder Woman wasn't even mentioned in the JSA story, let alone on the cover, supporting the theory held by some that the story was originally intended for Sensation Comics #1 and was added here at the last minute. With WW's recent and upcoming feature film appearances, her first comic appearance is catching lots of attention! As for that JSA story, we'll note that Starman and Dr. Mid-Nite joined the JSA in this issue, and Green Lantern was made an honorary member. The book has an E. E. Hibbard cover, with interior art by Sheldon Moldoff, Jack Burnley, Bernard Baily, and H. G. Peter and is currently listed as the #20 book on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2016 VG 4.0 value = $22,000. CGC census 8/16: 9 in 4.0, 42 higher.
