Hibbard is seared into most serious Golden Age comic collectors' brains; this is truly one of the most important issues ever, and for multiple reasons. Foremost are the origin and first appearance of Wonder Woman, prime reasons this issue ranks 22nd in Overstreet's listing of the Top Golden Age Books. Other features include Starman and Dr. Mid-Nite becoming members of the JSA, Dr. Fate donning a new costume, and appearances by Shiera and Hop Harrigan.
