All Star Comics #8 (DC, 1942) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. To put this superlative copy of the origin and first appearance of Wonder Woman into perspective, we had never seen a blue label copy of #8 with a grade higher than VF 8.0 until this unheard of true Near Mint copy came our way! A quick look at CGC's census for the issue will show you that only five copies have been assigned blue label grades of VF 8.0 or higher. Simply put, this is one of the most important issues in DC's history, and it's one of the toughest to find in high grade. Issue #8 is currently tied for the #12 position on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Additional pluses in the issue include a Hop Harrigan text story, Dr. Fate dons a new helmet, and Starman begins a run in the title. But if that's still not enough significant content for you, Shiera makes an appearance, and Starman and Dr. Mid-Nite both join the Justice Society of America.
