All Star Comics #8 (DC, 1942) CGC GD 2.0 Cream to off-white pages. The popularity of Wonder Woman has exploded over the past two years, and shows no sign of abating. So, it's no surprise that this issue, which features the origin and first appearance of the Amazing Amazon, has seen a huge increase in its ranking among the most valuable of Golden Age comics. From 2016 to 2017, the issue jumped from #15 to #12 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list, with a value increase of 49% in just one year! It's probably already moved up into the Top Ten, and could climb even higher within the next few years. Starman and Dr. Mid-Nite join the JSA in this issue which has art by DC stalwarts Jack Burnley, Sheldon Moldoff, Bernard Baily, and H. C. Peter behind the cover by E. E. Hibbard. CGC notes, "Tape on interior cover & interior. Small piece re-attached to cover with tape." This copy was formerly owned by famed Batman film producer Michael Uslan and comes with a copy of a letter from Mr. Uslan. Overstreet 2017 GD 2.0 value = $15,000. CGC census 11/17: 7 in 2.0, 84 higher.
