Description
All Star Comics #49 (DC, 1949) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. Earth is under attack by aliens -- that's a job for the Justice Society. By this point in All-Star's run, the book had departed from the formula of individual chapters for each hero, drawn by different artists; this issue had the heroes forming twosomes, and the entire story was penciled by Arthur Peddy with inks by Bernard Sachs. Those same two artists teamed up on the cover. A backup feature stars adventurer Johnny Peril, drawn by Howard Purcell. Only three copies of this issue have been certified with higher grades by CGC to date. Overstreet 2004 FN 6.0 value = $336; VF 8.0 value = $700.
