All Select Comics #1 (Timely, 1943) CGC VG- 3.5 Cream to off-white pages. Classic World War II cover by Alex Schomburg, featuring Captain America, the Human Torch, and the Sub-Mariner besieging Hitler's Berchtesgaden fortress ("the Eagle's Nest"). The beginning of regular monthly feature stories for each of the three. Final Golden Age appearance of Claire Voyant, aka Timely/Marvel's original Black Widow. Currently tied for #75 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Small pieces of tape on five pages." Overstreet 2023 VG 4.0 value = $5,200.
