All Select Comics #1 (Timely, 1943) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. One of the greatest Golden Age covers of all-time is this classic by the acclaimed Alex Schomburg -- it's often reprinted in various volumes on comics history. Captain America, the Human Torch, and Sub-Mariner were Timely's big three, and this series was created to give them even more exposure. The black area at the top is often chipped or exhibits at least a few color breaks, making a high-grade copy such as this one quite rare. Only three copies surpass this offering on CGC's current census, and we've only had the opportunity to offer two of those issues in the past. Overstreet 2013 VF 8.0 value = $11,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $21,250. CGC census 5/14: 3 in 8.5, 6 higher.
