Description
All Select Comics #1 (Timely, 1943) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. One of the greatest Golden Age covers is this classic by the acclaimed Alex Schomburg -- it's often reprinted in various volumes on comics history. Captain America, the Human Torch, and Sub-Mariner were Timely's big three, and this series was created to give them even more exposure. The black area at the top is often chipped away and/or exhibits at least a few color breaks, making a high-grade copy such as this one quite rare. This copy bears the highest grade CGC has assigned to this issue to date, and it is the first copy above 9.0 that we've had a chance to offer in more than three years. Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $31,000. CGC census 11/12: 4 in 9.2, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
