All-American Comics #16 (DC, 1940) CGC VG- 3.5 Off-white to white pages. Currently ranked #5 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list, its value is driven by the origin and first appearance of Green Lantern and by the fact that it's just not that easy to locate. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books rates it a "7" or "scarce" on its Scarcity Index, and CGC's population census corroborates that, listing just 16 copies graded higher than this VG- 3.5 copy. We've only offered three other Universal label copies in the past five years. Sheldon Moldoff provided the cover. Martin Nodell, Sheldon Mayer, and Stan Aschmeier contributed story pages.
