    All-American Comics #16 (DC, 1940) CGC Conserved VF 8.0 Off-white pages. A lovely copy of one of the hobby's hottest books -- the origin and first appearance of the Green Lantern, an issue that currently sits in the #4 spot on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics list. Rated a Gerber "7" or "scarce", the book contains a full-page ad for All Star Comics #1. Sheldon Moldoff did the "steel monkey" cover, and Martin Nodell, Sheldon Mayer, and Stan Aschmeier did interior art for the book. CGC notes, "spine split sealed to cover, cover cleaned, cover reinforced." Overstreet 2018 GD 2.0 value = $23,000; VG 4.0 value = $46,000; FN 6.0 value = $69,000; VF 8.0 value = $170,000.
