Action Comics #7 (DC, 1938) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Brittle pages. Why National Periodical waited until the seventh issue of the title to feature Superman's second cover appearance is anyone's guess, but we're pretty sure his appearance is the reason that Overstreet ranks this book as one of the top dozen most valuable Golden Age comics of all. We've actually seen considerably less copies of this issue than of Supes' first cover appearance on #1! In fact, the last copy that we sold went for almost three times Overstreet's value and the VF copy that we sold in February of 2008 went for more than six times Guide value, a modest $143,400. We expect no less "Action" on this copy. Of course, the story and art are by Superman's creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. This 64-pager also has a host of other features, including art by the likes of Bernard Baily and Shelly Moldoff. Overstreet 2010 GD 2.0 value = $6,060; VG 4.0 value = $12,120.
