Description
Action Comics #6 Rockford pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. This book is in the top 50 of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics, and features the first appearance of Jimmy Olsen (referred to here as simply "office boy"). It's a low-key debut for a character who would become one of Superman's key supporting characters. The great gorilla cover is by Leo E. O'Mealia, and the interior art is by Joe Shuster, Bernard Baily, and Fred Guardineer. CGC notes, "Piece of back cover re-attached with tape on interior cover. Tape stain to spine of cover." Overstreet 2013 VG 4.0 value = $5,142; FN 6.0 value = $7,713. CGC census 5/14: 3 in 5.0, 7 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
