Description
Action Comics #50 (DC, 1942) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white to white pages. In all of our years of selling comics, we have only seen one other copy of issue #50 with a higher grade (a NM 9.4 copy that we auctioned way back in 2003), and the next closest copy we've auctioned was graded a modest VF- 7.5! Superman stars on the classic Fred Ray cover, which is insanely nice, with its bright yellows, super dark blacks, and rich reds, greens, and purples. Ray, Bernard Baily, and Mort Meskin added interior art to the issue. One of the three highest-graded copies on CGC's current census for the issue, and you're not likely to see either of the other two any time soon! Overstreet 2023 VF/NM 9.0 value = $3,505; NM- 9.2 value = $5,000. CGC census 12/23: 1 in 9.0, 2 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
