Description

Action Comics #23 (DC, 1940) CGC VG 4.0 Off-white pages. This issue heralded the first appearance of super-villain Lex Luthor (who appears with red hair!). It's also the first mention of the Daily Planet. Joe Shuster provided the cover and interior art and Sheldon Moldoff, Bernard Baily, and Fred Guardineer added interior art as well. CGC notes, "small amount of dried glue on spine of cover." Overstreet 2013 VG 4.0 value = $2,400. CGC census 5/14: 6 in 4.0, 25 higher.
