Action Comics #130 The Promise Collection Pedigree (DC, 1949) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. Actress Ann Blyth, nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in the 1945 Michael Curtiz film Mildred Pierce, co-stars on the Superman cover (by Al Plastino) and in the cover story, much to Lois Lane's chagrin. The now 93 year old Blyth is one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood. This is the single highest-graded copy of the issue, and what a grade it is! Tommy Tomorrow is featured in a backup story, and Plastino, Curt Swan, and Bob Lubbers contribute interior art. Overstreet 2021 NM- 9.2 value = $1,475.
