    Strange Adventures #9 (DC, 1951) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. Captain Comet, DC's first big hero of the post-war sci-fi era was introduced with a bang, complete with an origin story and a terrific Carmine Infantino cover. Other artists include Alex Toth, Murphy Anderson, and Bob Oksner. This copy is very attractive and fresh-looking, with very little wear noticeable on the black-background cover. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $1,275; VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,138. CGC census 3/06: 5 in 8.5, 5 higher.
